Welcome to my blog about alien communication 🙂

The Trilak Project is my exploration of questions concerning alien communication: How could we communicate with aliens? How could we know that aliens communicate? If we knew they communicated, what could they communicate about? How could their language work? Could there be a limit to our knowledge of other creatures in the universe? 

Trilaks are the aliens and Trilakese the language—if it can be so called—that I have created to explore this thought experiment in a more substantial depth than most science fiction works have traditionally done. 

I have a few goals in mind for the project: first, I want to introduce you to Trilaks; second, I will try my best to explain how Trilakese works to illustrate what an alien communication system (ACS) could be like; third, I will dedicate some time to explain the challenges that have been overlooked when it comes to understanding aliens and their communication; finally—as of now—, I will explore possible solutions to these intriguing challenges.

I have felt tempted before to check some or all the goals listed above using a narrative: the story of how humans arrived to Planet Trilak, how they found Trilaks, and how they dedicated an absurd amount of centuries to study their language following a crazy but very interesting and linguistically accurate project, that is, The Trilak Project. I have not discarded this idea.
